Constella OperaBallet were commissioned by the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site to bring to life the heritage of the ex-industrial village, Darley Abbey, through a series of seven short films.
‘Brick Row’ features three of Constella OperaBallet’s singers showcase the architectural history of Darley Abbey, focusing on the houses of Brick Row, which were built to attract workers away from the industrial hub of Derby and into the new industry of Darley Abbey.
‘Spin A Tale’ was produced by Constella OperaBallet in collaboration with Beam, supporting Darley Abbey Day 2021 for the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site Great Place Scheme, funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England.

In ‘Tangled’, the dancer was knotted into an installation, the piece being illustrative of our ongoing connection to history.

Inspired by the Darley Pageant by Wendy Bitton, this new dance piece paid homage to River Derwent, which gave power to the former cotton industry in Darley Abbey.

Busy Being Ze is a puppet show for children and families called which is about a non-binary puppet named Ze's journey to self acceptance inspiring love, learning and inclusivity for everyone.

Constella presented a gala of opera and ballet, streaming in aid of Constella's Connecting Stars, a live, interactive and virtual performance programme to support care home residents who have been adversely affected by the pandemic.

Rossini’s comic opera was brought to life by Scherzo Ensemble in an open-air performance to 400 people at Longhope Estate, Hampshire.
This was followed by a run at Charlton House, London. These intimate performances enlivened the beating heart of the story, Rosina, and the miracle of her enduring faith.

Sideshows is a riotous theatrical experience, fusing the finest contemporary music with jazz, ballet and physical comedy. The project culminated in three successful performances at Sadler’s Wells in November 2017.

The Canary Boys was a national project in collaboration with the Betteshanger Mining CIC and the National Coal Mining Museum for England to celebrate and showcase coal mining heritage.
Premiered in July 2016 at Sadler's Wells.

WONDERING HANDS are a London based puppetry company. Sex and Puppets has been performed at Brainchild Festival 2016, Shambala 2017, Camden People’s Theatre and Pleasance Theatre, Islington.
It is now being developed into a regular cabaret event.
